Debise rounds off his fantastic season with a top-five finish in Race 2, Caricasulo scores points

The EASTROC ZXMOTO Evan Bros Factory’s 2026 season has officially come to an end, with the second race at Jerez marking the final chapter. In Race 2, which was interrupted by a red flag with five laps to go, Valentin Debise secured fifth place, whilst Federico Caricasulo finished 14th.

At the beginning Debise got off to a good start, making up two places on the first lap. In the laps that followed the French rider was a key figure in the battle for the lead, leading the race on several occasions. In the second half of the race, Valentin lost contact slightly with the leading group of four riders, but just as he looked set to close the gap, the red flag brought the race to a premature end, nonetheless securing him an excellent fifth place.

For Debise, the 2026 season will go down as one to remember: a pole position, nine podium finishes, six victories and, above all, the title of World Championship runner-up, a testament to the excellent work carried out by the rider and the EASTROC ZXMOTO Evan Bros Factory team.

Sunday’s race was also a positive one for Caricasulo, who once again managed to stage an excellent comeback. The Italian rider climbed from 25th on the grid to 14th, making up a total of eleven places. For Federico, the season ended with 18th place in the championship, with a fifth-place finish as his best result of the season.

Thanks to the results from this final race weekend, the EASTROC ZXMOTO Evan Bros Factory secured second place in the team standings with 370 points, whilst in the manufacturers’ standings ZXMOTO took third place with 310 points. This brings ZXMOTO’s first season in WorldSSP to a close; together with Evan Bros they have immediately achieved results of the highest calibre: now it is time to prepare for the 2027 season, which will present a new challenge to face.

Valentin Debise

“First of all, I want to thank the team and ZXMOTO for this incredible season: we’ve achieved some amazing results and I’ll remember all of this for a long time to come. Today’s race was a bit chaotic but fun. Towards the end, I could have been in contention for a podium place, but the red flag brought the race to a premature end. These things happen, but I’m really pleased with the work we’ve done with the team, both this weekend and throughout this incredible season”.

Federico Caricasulo

“Just like in Race 1, I managed to pull off an good comeback in this Race 2 as well. Unfortunately, starting from P25 didn’t help, but I’m pleased with my recovery and how I managed to improve in terms of pace. It’s been a rollercoaster of a season, but I’d like to thank the team and XMOTO for their hard work and support: we never gave up and it’s been a pleasure to race in every single race”.

Fabio Evangelista (Team Principal)

“I’m very pleased with this final day of racing. Debise clearly had the potential to get back into the fight for the podium in the closing stages, but the red flag changed the course of events: a shame, but a fifth place after a difficult Friday confirms the quality of our work over the weekend. Caricasulo pulled off another fine comeback, and overall he has improved throughout the year. In this final round, we managed to achieve our last two remaining objectives: the second place in the team standings and third in the manufacturers’ standings, and all of this fills us with pride. A big thank you to everyone who believes in us”.
