Volvo Elevates EV Standards in Thailand with 5‑Year First-Class Insurance Offer for the Volvo EX90 at Motor Show 2026

Volvo Car Thailand unveils an exclusive offer at the 2026 Motor Show with five years of first-class car insurance coverage for the Volvo EX90. This marks the first long-term protection program of its kind for an electric vehicle in Thailand, reflecting Volvo’s ongoing commitment to supporting customers throughout their premium ownership journey. At the show, Volvo showcases its Scandinavian design philosophy through an immersive installation featuring 8‑meter pine trees and vibrant summer-season flora. Visitors are invited to explore Volvo’s full range of Fully Electric and Plug‑in Hybrids at Booth A15 during the 47th Bangkok International Motor Show, now through 5 April 2026 at IMPACT Challenger, Muang Thong Thani.

Comprehensive coverage with 100% High-Voltage battery protection for five years

The collaboration with Thanachart Insurance underscores strong confidence in Volvo’s quality, safety leadership, and advanced technologies. The insurance package provides full-vehicle coverage, including 100% High-Voltage battery protection for the entire five-year term, with a stable premium that remains unchanged even after claims. Customers also benefit from authorized repairs at Volvo’s certified service centers nationwide, ensuring complete peace of mind throughout ownership.

Long-term EV insurance remains challenging for the market due to fluctuating parts prices and battery-related costs. However, Thanachart Insurance’s confidence in Volvo is driven by key factors such as strong resale value, predictable repair costs, and Volvo’s world-leading safety systems that significantly reduce accident risks. These strengths enable the insurer to offer extended coverage unmatched by general market offerings.

Mr. Chris Wailes, Managing Director of Volvo Car Thailand and Malaysia said
“The five-year first-class car insurance offers for the Volvo EX90 represents a clear expression of trust from our insurance partner in our quality, safety, and technology. We are proud that Thanachart Insurance is the first to deliver such long and comprehensive protection for our brand in Thailand.

This collaboration highlights the outstanding safety standards and predictable maintenance costs of our vehicles, combined with a proven track record in the market. Together, we’ve created an insurance product that delivers meaningful benefits to customers, long-term confidence, stable costs, and a seamless electric ownership experience.

We remain committed to elevating the ownership journey for Volvo customers in Thailand, and we believe this partnership sets a new benchmark for the country’s EV landscape.”

Mrs. Vichinee Oraphan, Chief Executive Officer, Thanachart Insurance Public Company Limited said “From being the first insurer to partner with Volvo’s fully electric vehicles, we are honored to now be the exclusive provider of five-year First-Class insurance coverage for Volvo EVs in Thailand.

What differentiates this partnership is not only the insurance itself, but the way we have redefined coverage to match real EV usage and advanced technology, right from the moment customers receive their vehicles. All products and conditions align with regulatory frameworks and are designed with customer needs in mind.

Our confidence in Volvo’s quality, safety systems, and technology allows us to accurately assess risks and offer protection that is both comprehensive and appropriate. We are confident this collaboration will elevate the insurance standard for EVs in Thailand and bring greater peace of mind to Volvo customers.”

From the original pine trees to a Scandinavian Summer House Forest, reflecting Volvo’s sustainability mindset

Volvo once again transforms its display area into a lush green space filled with pine trees. This year, the same pine trees used in previous exhibitions have been brought back after being carefully nurtured and restored, making them not just decorative elements but a symbol of Volvo’s respect for nature and responsible resource use. For this year’s show, Volvo once again collaborated with renowned designer Duke – Bhanudej Vatanasuchart, who crafted the “Scandinavian Summer House” concept. Drawing from his personal experience with Nordic nature, he brings the spirit of a Scandinavian summer forest to life with even greater clarity and authenticity.

In addition, Sustainability guides every decision at Volvo. Many booth materials, including fabric wall panels, chairs, and tables, have been thoughtfully reused from previous exhibitions. This approach reflects Volvo’s belief that sustainability is not simply a guideline, but a mindset embedded in every step of creating meaningful experiences.

Khun Duke – Bhanudej Vatanasuchart, Landscape designer for Volvo’s booth at the 47th Bangkok International Motor Show said “This project offered me another opportunity to reimagine a forest environment within a display space. Inspired by my own experiences in Scandinavia, I wanted to recreate the atmosphere of a summer forest, full of natural energy, warm sunlight, and moments where families gather and connect. My goal was to allow visitors to step into a tranquil summer woodland, take a pause from the busy show, and experience the calming presence of nature.”
